The intricate and meaningful designs on this wall hanging were woven by Sampson, a master weaver from Ghana, using a triple weave technique. The traditional patterns include "zor megbe megbe," which symbolizes the wisdom of the forefathers, who would walk backwards to confuse their enemies. The design in the center, speaks of the chief and the elders. The chief is represented in the central design and the elders of a community are displayed in the outline. The vibrant colors used are often associated with joyous celebrations, such as weddings, the enstoolment of a chief, or the birth of a new baby. This versatile piece can be used as a wall hanging, bed spread, or even as a tablecloth. Dimensions: Length 62" by Width 40"
