Collection: Eke (Ewe: Root ) Woven Collection

There is a proverb in Ghana that says: "You never point to your hometown with your left hand." In Ghana, friendly exchanges are only made with the right hand and if an exchange is done with the left it is disrespectful. Therefore, you never show disdain or contempt for your roots of origin. Your roots are what make you and need to be respected. Moreover, in our mission statement/ bible verse, Isaiah 61:3, it states, "They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for the display of his splendor." If we see ourselves as a root, and our root is firmly planted, only blessing shall follow. The colors in this collection celebrate identity and heritage represented in earth tones and colors of life and growth.
